My family of five adults will be staying in Varenna for three days as a part of a three week vacation in Italy this summer. (first time) All is in place except for selecting our accomodations in Varenna. Our two available options are Villa Cipressi and Hotel Olivedo. Does anyone have any thoughts about which would be best? Thank you for sharing asap.

Carol, I suppose a lot will depend on your budget. Villa Cipressi is somewhat "upscale" so you'll need to allow for that. Hotel Olivedo will be a bit less expensive. La Torretta B&B is right next to Olivedo (also managed by the Hotel) and with a family of five adults, that might be a better choice. Check The Website for details. Happy travels!
