possible to find out in advance WHICH HOTEL the Steve's tour is using?? Thinking of getting in a day or two early and would not want to change hotels if I can help it.

I realize that. I thought maybe SOMEONE had actually stayed in a hotel in Verenna on the tour.

Our group in 2007 Best of Italy stayed @ Villa Cipressi and our first night before the tour we stayed @ Orange House B&B. An easy walk with our carry on between the two. Hard to say if there’s another hotel that RS uses but the only other one that would accommodate the group would be the Hotel Royal Victoria where we had our first group gathering. Both are lakeside . Enjoy your tour, we still reminisce how much we enjoyed that tour which was our introduction to Italy.

Rick Steves tours use several hotels in Varenna, depending on both the hotels' schedules and ours. For the first stop of the tour (as this would be on the 17-day Best of Italy tour), you'll receive the hotel contact info as soon as your placement is confirmed.

thanks very much, Sherry. Waiting to see if tour is indeed offered in 2019. Not a big deal to move, but would be nice to avoid the hassle and spend the time doing something else!
