varenna express shuttle bus

Does anyone know if the Varenna express shuttle bus from Varenna to Milan still runs when there is a railway strike? Online info is limited and contradicts itself. It is a private shuttle, but online states it still might not run if there is a train strike.....

I'm just curious- has this private bus always been in operation , or is it a new service, started since the train disruptions due to the summer tracks work? We were there in May, and used the SRO regional train. Thanks
