I assume you're referring to the promenade that goes along the waterfront. I don't know the exact distance but it's probably a few hundred meters. it goes from the Ferry dock and Albergo Olivedo to the central Piazza. There's a slight climb from the waterfront to the piazza.

There's a small bench part way along the walk, where you can sit and admire the view, and watch the Ferries gliding back and forth.

Wow thanks that was fast. I'm getting an idea for leisurely days in Varenna and things to do next May. This is a no hurry Italy vacation.
