Vaporetto passes

Planing on going to Venice and found it attractive to have unlimited use of their vaporreti system. My question is this, are Unlimited use vaporreti passes shareable or do I have to purchase one for each person in our party?

There are ticket booths across from the exit/entrance of the train station. You can see them here in my video clip of that area.

Well they don't have your name printed on them, but everyone in your travel party will have to have one to ride the vaporettos...at least if they hope to all ride at the same time.

Where do you buy the Vaporetto passes? That's one thing I haven't had any luck in finding clear information about. Thanks! (We'll be arriving in Venice at the Santa Lucia station)

For us, it was the Hello Venezia booth just to the right along the canal as you exit the train station.

Any ticket/ vaparetto booth in town should have them. You can also by on board but you need to tell them as soon as you get on otherwise you risk getting fined if they check tickets (which I've never seen them do on the vaporreti). Your hotel may sell them also.

You can also get them at the little newstands on the "street" (I use that term loosely because as we all know there aren't real roads in Venice)
