Vaporetto Pass or Venice Museum Card or Pass?

We are goin only to Doge's palace, St Mark's Basilica, Accademia for 2 days/3 nights. What do you buy when you don't have to visit all the museums and churches? I definitely want the Vaporetto Pass. Thanks!

The vaporetto pass is just fine. For the museum passes, you can buy them there or on www.veniceconnected.com. We found no crowds at the Venice Accademia. Totally different from Florence. You'll find a lot of the great Venitian art in the Doge's Palace. The Accademia is located at one end of the Rialto Bridge.

As a suggestion, you might want to take a look at the Peggy Guggenheim museum. It's a short walk from the Accademia and on the same side of the Grand Canal.

There are several bridges across the Grand Canal in Venice. The Accademia Bridge, not the Rialto Bridge, leads to the Accademia museum.

I spent 3 days in Venice last year and with the exception of going from and to the train station never used the vaporetto. We didn't go to the outer islands as there was a lot we wanted to see without going to them but we never felt the need to use the vaporetto. You might reconsider once you get there. The main island(s) is very small and everything is close together. With 3 bridges crossing the grand canal it makes it easy to get from one side to the other and walking the streets of Venice is wonderful.

I loved taking the vaporetto. Plus it's so much fun to ride and listen to Rick's audio guide for the Grand Canal.

I guess how much you will use the vaporetto depends on where you are staying, but single ride tickets are very expensive.
