Vaporetto pass for Venice

Can you purchase a two or three day vaporetto pass by machine at the train station in Venice? Last time we were there ( 4 yrs ago) we had to stand in a very long line outside the train station at the kiosk to purchase a pass.

Buy them just outside the train station on the canal. The wait really isn't that bad. you can get them for the two or three day you which ever you want.

You can also get them online before you go. I think it's Veniceconnected. Then at the train station you just go to the right-hand (facing the canal) vaporetto stop (which has a little Venice Connected sign) and hand them your printout in exchange for a pass. The line is just the one to pay to get on the vaporetto.

Am here in Venice now, bought 72-hour pass on Monday. They have a building set up exactly across from the ticket booth at the train station where you can buy the vaporetti pass, as well as get other tickets and information. The price is the same in both locations (35€ per person for 72-hours...kinda pricey, works out to 5 trips to get your money's worth). I stood in line for 2 minutes.

does anyone know about the rolling Venice card for 4 euros mentioned in RS book that lowers the vaporetto ticket cost to 18 euros (if you are under age 30)?

Does the 72 hr pass include rides to Lido? Yes it does, anywhere a vaporetto or motoscafo goes. All numbered lines, except the 17 car ferry. You can use the 72 hour ticket to go to Torcello, Burano, Murano, Lido, Punta Sabbioni. It does not include airport transportation, not any Alilaguna. - = - does anyone know about the rolling Venice card Look here http://www.hellovenezia.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=178&Itemid=158&lang=en
