We will be in Venice over night on a cruise. I am looking to purchase a 24 ht pass. I found 1 answer to a question about the vaporettos going to murano and burano. My question is, does anyone know where i would have to catch them? are they close to the ship? Thanks

If you are staying near the cruise docks, you are close to the Piazzale Roma vaporetto stop. From there, you can catch the new DM (Diretto Murano) that goes only from the Piazzale Roma and Ferrovia stops (main train station) to the 5 stops at Murano. This trip takes 21 minutes. You can take the #42 from Piazzale Roma as well but a trip on this vaporetto will take almost 40 minutes. I suggest that you do not take the #41. It will get you there but #41 goes counter-clockwise and you will start out going the very long way. The #42 goes the same route but clockwise. The DM may not run as frequently as the #42.
