Van/Minibus from Rome to Lucca?

We have nine people traveling from Rome (FCO) to Lucca and thought it might be easier and more cost effective to hire a large van or small minibus, rather than taking the train(s) from FCO to the Rome terminal, then going to either Florence or Pisa, and then over to Lucca by train from there. It was suggested that train travel might be complicated because we will be traveling August 30th when lots of people might be returning from Vacation.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.

Check with AutoEurope.com. You can call them directly as they are In Portland,ME. Will you continue traveling by van around Italy after Lucca?
Or did you mean to hire a driver service?

August 30th will not make any difference. Trains have an enormous amount of capacity. Contact one of the Rome car services such as Rome Cabs for a quote. (romecabs.com) The bigger problem could the the amount of luggage that nine people have. A nine passenger van would not have the luggage space necessary.

Thanks for the prompt replies.
We just need to get to Lucca from Rome and meet up with the rest of our group. No vehicles needed after Lucca... we will be walking part of the Via Francigena.
I was also concerned about the baggage issue.
Thanks.

Also check direct Frecciarossa train service from Rome Fco Airport to Firenze Central railway station where there are trains to Lucca almost every hour. Otherwise you have to take airport train service to Roma Termini Central station and then train to Florence or Pisa .
