Validation Boxes

I was wondering if the validation boxes at the Tiburtina Station for the buses to Siena are outside or on the bus?

Those are SENA buses, long distance lines. The driver checks your ticket as you board. There are no reserved seats, but you must buy a ticket for that bus. Validation boxes are only for city buses.
