Val Gardena November 18th - 21st

My wife & I are planning to travel to Val Gardena for a 3-day stay at a wellness hotel in Ortisei in mid-late November. I have seen other posts describing the high potential for drear weather, which is fine. We are going to unplug and relax mainly.

My primary concern is transportation. I have read that the buses from Bolzano run once every three hours at that time of year. When it comes time to depart on the 21st, I want to be able to make it to Venice by early afternoon. I don't want to have to stand at a bus stop for hours in the freezing cold either. I would much prefer not to have to rent a car, but I fear that may be the only way to ensure getting in and out of Ortisei. That said, I don't know if a car rental agency/company would provide chains or even allow chains.

I am hoping that these plans are doable Maybe it's better just to stay closer to Bolzano? Looking for lots of details, tips & input!

Checking the bus schedule at https://www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/#/, the 350 Bus goes every 30 minutes from Ortisei to Bolzano train station and takes 1 hour, That is on November 21. There is a Freccia train at 8:45 am to Venezia S. Lucia with a connection at Verona will get you there in 3 hours, as well as other train departures that take a bit over 4 hours also with a change at Verona, and there is even a direct train at 11:30 am that takes 3 3/4 hours.
