Vaccinations considered void after 9 months?

My family and I are traveling to Italy on December 16th and staying through the 31st. I read on the Italian site that the Green Pass requirements are changing on December 14th, and they will also be starting a new "Super Green Pass" in addition to the Green Pass. Before Italy was allowing the CDC card to be used as a Green Pass, but now I understand that Italy is stating that immunizations older than 9 months are no longer effective. The Italian site does not say whether they count boosters, but a commercial site says they DO NOT count boosters. If so, even though we all received boosters last month, will this leave us not being allowed to use our CDC card as our Green Pass? If so, this will effectively require us to be treated as unvaccinated and have to test frequently to enter museums, indoor restaurants, and board trains. Please tell me if there is a way around this new requirement. We don't want to cancel our trip.

The 9 months of validity is after the last dose of vaccine. Doesn't matter if is the second, third, forth....
If you've been vaccinated with an EU-approved vaccine (Comirnaty di Pfizer-BioNtech, Moderna, Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca), Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) ) within that limit your CDC certificate is valid as a "Super green pass". Be sure that any recall/booster is recorded on your CDC certificate.

Thanks for both of your replies. I appreciate the help. I agree the Italian Ministry of Health is the best site, but it only shows the rules through December 15, 2021. There is a big proclamation in Italian from the Ministry of Health on the Italian site which I cannot get the translation sites to translate into English. The additional rules go into effect from December 15, 2021 to January 15, 2022. I did find some additional articles since I posted (but not reflected on the Italian site) that said boosters would be honored for the nine month validity period. That is a big relief.

Yes, it’s precisely a booster that gets you back within the nine-month valid window.

The situation continues to be fluid and requirements will often change. Projecting too far out just creates confusion if they have to backpedal.
