Using Roma Pass for re-entry into Colosseum?

We have a private tour scheduled for the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill at 10am on May 4. We will be using our Roma Passes to enter theses places. I am interested in booking an underground tour of the Colosseum later in the day or the next day if there is availability. Is it possible to use the Roma Pass again as part of the combined entry for the 2 day period?

If I understand you, you are asking if you can use the pass for the tour and then after the tour for re-entry. The answer is yes, but with a caveat- if the colosseum is the first site you see it will be free. If the re-entry is the second site you see, it will be free. If it is the third or more you will have to pay the reduced entry fee. You are only allowed one visit to each of the three sites so to re-enter you will have to re-scan the card and either pay the fee or use up the other free entry. Donna

Donna,
Thanks so much for your reply. I was hoping that I could use the Pass for re-entry as part of my first entry and not use up my second free entry. BTW, do you know this from personal experience or is it a written rule? Someone on another travel forum has the same question and has found no information in the Roma Pass rules and regs. Leslie

Donna is correct. The first two scans are your free entries. If you leave the coloseo and re-enter 5 mins later you've used your two free entries.

You don't scan the pass when you exit, only when you enter. If you scan it twice at the same location it will use both your free entries or, if they are already used, you'll have to pay the reduced rate. You also get one entry into the forum and palatine hill within the validity of the pass if using it at the colosseum. Donna
