Does anyone have experience with this membership? We will be in Venice, Florence and Rome. It seems as bookings are not required. So, would we be able to skip lines and walk into say, the Doge’s Palace?

Interesting, I hadn't heard of this. Looks like you can get a free 6 months trial and then just cancel before the fees.
Looking at the pdf list that they provide, some require advance reservations and others, for example "Doge's Palace" states "Jump the queue at card access partner museums by using your museum card." I read this as being able to skip the ticket line. Doge's palace has multiple lines, so my guess is you would be in one that is shorter, perhaps similar to having a reservation.
Something I'll need to look into prior to my next trip :)
