Using b-ticket.com for a Uffizi and Accademia Reservation

I took Rick's advice to book a reservation to the Uffizi and the Accademia using b-ticket.com without reading the updates to Rick's guidebook online.

Sure enough. I did not get a confirmation number after paying. Has anyone else had this problem? How was it resolved?

I booked online for both through b-ticket, and although I did not receive a confirmation number I did receive a confirmation e-mail for each and a reservation code. It states to bring the voucher to the ticket office. The address it came from was info_firenzemusei@bassilichi.it. Hope that helps.

Yes, I also received an email, but the email stated (In Italian):

"Your order has been confirmed. Receive a subsequent email, containing your booking reference, print and present at the ticket office on the day of the visit."

I did not receive a subsequent email containing a booking reference. Any ideas?

I booked reservations to the Uffizi, Accademia and Bargello for visits in May 2009. B-ticket initially sent me an order confirmation for all 3 museums in one single email. I received 3 separate emails 4 days later confirming each of the museums. Each of the 3 emails contained a unique 6-digit Reservation Code. I suppose the Reservation Code is the confirmation number. I would call up b-ticket if they don't send you the Reservation Codes within a week.

I just received my confirmation code today by e-mail 5 days after I booked the Uffizi.

I hope it all works out!
In the future, you might just email or call your hotel/bed and breakfast and ask them to make the reservations for you, and give them time frames you want to visit the museums. They don't charge a fee (at least, mine didn't), and she sent me the confirmation codes by email. I paid once I got the museums and we got in at our designated times with no waiting or hassles.

I, too, did not read the update and have not received a second email with a voucher number, only a confirmation email, however, my credit card has been charged. I tried calling the Museum directly and was rudely told they do not sell tickets online and can only sell me tickets. Btw, I tried emailing the "Help" email address and it was returned as undeliverable. I can't find a phone number on the b-ticket.com web site. I'm hoping it all works out before we leave in a couple of weeks.

Just an FYI, I too sent an email to the help desk. I got an "undeliverable message" returned to me, so I assumed my message did not get through. The next day I got a reply from the museum, so apparently they did get the message even though my email says it was undeliverable.

I did finally get a reply after the undeliverable message and a few days later received my emailed vouchers. It took about 2 weeks from date of purchase.

I am having the same problem. I purchased the tix online at b-ticket over a week ago and have not received a single email from them despite attempting to contact them several times. I also called the museum directly, and they said they couldn't help. I am disputing the charge through my credit card company, but they said if I receive the voucher in the interim, I will have to pay. That means I can't get tickets in advance. What a drag!
