Using a Kindle Fire as a ticket, for instance at the Sistine Chapel

Hi, I'm traveling without a printer but with a Kindle Fire. RS advises to book ahead for many places, and I'd like to do this. For instance, I'd like to book for the Sistine Chapel. Does anyone know if I can book ahead, "print" to my Kindle Fire, and have the people scan my Kindle Fire instead of a paper ticket. I love the KF because I can have my RS travel guides on it, highlighted and searchable. Thanks!

I'm not sure the guards at the Vatican museums are able to scan anything other than a piece of paper. The website states specifically that you need to print the voucher and bring it with you. # Q. Is it necessary to present any document in order to access to the Vatican Museums? A. Yes, the Voucher you got by email together with a valid identification document must be presented at the entrance of the Vatican Museums. This might also be of help: # Q. I lost my Voucher, it is possible to have a copy of it?
A. Yes, Click in the left menu on "Voucher resending" and fill in the mandatory fields (email, reservation code and date of birth of the person concerning the reservation). In case of missing reception of the email containing the copy of the Voucher, contact the help desk at the email address written at the end of the page. [email protected] You might want to email them to find out the definitive answer. Donna

Donna, Thanks for your reply. I've e-mailed the Vatican. Techically, the Vatican says you have to present your ticket. I can do that on the screen of the Fire. It does not say that I have to print to paper. I know for the Eiffel Tower you can have the ticket sent to your mobile phone and they can scan the screen on that. I'd love to know if anyone has actually tried this!!

Ok, so having e-mailed the Vatican, I have found out that you CAN use your Kindle Fire, or Mobile Phone to show the ticket. Nice!!
