Use of iPad in Italy

I know I can download RS's audio tour of Europe, but does someone have a video tour?? I only need Italy and would especially like to know if tours exist of specific galleries, museums, and/or churches.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You want to use your iPad while you're in Italy to watch videos of the places that you're going to go see? Like as a trip planning guide? Or are you asking about watching video tours of the Colosseum while walking through the Colosseum? (or other sites) I ask this because you're talking about audio tours as well, but I can't figure out why you'd want to look at a video of the place when you could just look at the actual place. I'm not sure that video tours that would take the place of audio tours exist, primarily because you'd be stuck watching a video of the site instead of the site. Plus have you seen people try to walk and text? This would be way worse. Maybe you can clarify what specifically you're looking for. If you're only looking to use videos as trip planning guides, I'd think the specific museum website would be the place to look.

I agree with Eric. Audio tours are the way to go. Also, I would recommend you opt for something more compact than an iPad to tote around. I've found both the iPod & iPhone to be excellent for listening to audio tours while walking around the sites. I was able to drop it in my pocket and just enjoy as if I had a personal tour guide. Worked great.
