Upscale Naples (Italy) hotel suggestions

Hello all,

We are looking for an upscale hotel in Naples for 3 nights in September. I know there are many threads on Naples Hotels. I have looked at a lot of them, as well as spending considerable time on Booking.com. At this point I am worn out and frustrated. Hotel Bellini and Grand Hotel Oriente are mentioned regularly, but we are looking for other options.

I think our main criteria are:
Nice neighborhood.
Walking distance to National Archeological Museum.
Elevator/AC.
Cost per night around 300 Euros.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Personally, I wouldn’t choise to stay near the National Archeological Museum. It is a very crowded noisy area. There is excellent metro amd bus service in Naples. Think you might need happier near the waterfront or Chiara neighborhoods.

Several years ago we stayed at hotel Albergo Palazzo Decumani. It was a wonderful hotel with a great location. Not sure if it's within your budget , but maybe take a look at it.

I stayed for a conference in Naples near the Ovo castle. It is a pedestrian area by the water and very quiet. I can’t remember the name of where I stayed but there are multiple very nice hotels in that area.

What I saw was that people who stayed in busier areas didn’t like Naples. I think it got to be too much. While everyone who stayed in this area did. It gave you a break from the chaos which allowed you to embrace it the rest of the time.

I agree with Beth to stay near the Ovo Castle. We stayed on the waterfront in that area and there is a nice pedestrian area and lovely views. The Royal Continental Hotel on Via Partenope may be a good option for you in your price range. We stayed at Grand Hotel Santa Lucia near it and there is a taxi rank on a side street right there. We took a taxi to see the National Archeological Museum and that went well.
