Updated reviews on Mondo shared tours Almafi coast

Hello and Happy New Year!

We are visiting Sorrento in late April and wanted to go to Almafi coast for a day. The last time we went, we Bo th got sick on the public bus (thank goodness for plastic bags) in late May, as the buses were hot and packed. We were going to use the Red Sightseeing bus in Sorrento, but it’s no longer there.

So has anyone used Mondo shared trips/ tours lately? The reviews are either wonderful or horrible and I don’t understand the difference in the shared trips verses shared tours. Any suggestions are very appreciated! We don’t want to rent a car, either, as parking is a nightmare.

Thank you in advance, this forum has always been a source of great help

I've not taken the shared tours myself - noting that they get good reviews - but if transport by road on the Amalfi Coast made you sick last time, I'd use the ferries to travel from Sorrento to destinations on the AC. I've a touchy stomach myself and wouldn't have risked ANY transport by road in that region. You could try it if you have an OTC anti-nausea medication that you know works for you?

Yes, you should take the ferry.

We took the shared tour, a 8 or larger passenger van with several rows of seats. That would be an uncomfortable experience to feel sick for both you and the other passengers in a packed van.
