Are Metro stations still closed (Repubblica et al)?
The ATAC metro map for Line A shows Repubblica, Barberini and Spagna as still temporarily closed (temporaneamente chiusa).

But Termini is a short walk to your hotel (Aberdeen) so it won't be much of an inconvenience to use that as your nearest station to/from, say, the Vatican or Colosseum. We walked to/from Termini to our hotel a couple blocks southwest of where you'll be with no issues the few times we used metro/urban train.
Hi Jon,
I see you will be in Rome in early May. I wouldn't hold my breath that the metro stops are repaired by then. Things move slowly in Rome and unfortunately its mayor has a reputation of being particularly incompetent. Add these two things together and you have peak level inefficiency.
Do u think they will be fixed and up and running by mid June?
