Hi, our family is scheduled on the South of Italy RS tour in a couple of weeks.
We would like to buy a baby clothes present to bring back home to a relative. Please let us know if anyone has a suggestion for a store where we will be able to get this done.
Thanks
If you don't get any responses, I am sure your guide will point you in the right direction.
I don't have a store to share but your best bets are probably Sorrento, Naples, or Rome. I took this tour a couple years ago. I am sure you will enjoy it.
When my grandkids were toddlers I brought back lots of clothes for them from Europe. I found a lot of high end boutiue stores, but I also found some amazing clothes at department stores (H&M) which we did not have in the US at the time, but the clothes are still different in Europe than the US. I also found some adorable stuff at a few street markets.
You'll definitely find cute baby clothes in the places that sell souvenirs. Not to worry.
We have bought a number of clothes items for kids through the years. There may be some boutique stores that have great but pricey items, but some of the best quality and best prices we found in larger department stores or in gallerias. Your best bet would be in Rome when you arrive, most of the rest of the stops appear to be smaller towns (except for Naples). No real recommendation for Rome, there is a larger Galleria near the Piazza Navona/Pantheon area, do not recall the name, but a quick search on google may give some possibilities.
Thank you very much for all of your suggestions.
If you are in a city, and can find one of the stores from the Zara chain, check out their children's department. Their clothes are very stylish and European, and not so expensive. I love their kids' clothes!
Thank you very much Ruth. My wife went on their website and loves their baby clothes.
