Unsecured website when buying Colosseum tickets

I am trying to buy tickets to the Roman Colosseum using the recommended website (www.coopculture.it). When I click to buy online, I'm taken to an unsecured website (ecm.coopculture.it). Has anyone else had this problem? What are my options? I can't by the type of ticket I want by phone and I don't want to use an unsecured website.

Boosting this one back to the top, above the frozen turkey. Can anyone help?

Very interested to know of other alternatives to this, too, as we will be there in 10 days. I am uncomfortable with unsecured websites, as well.

The site you're using is the official one, used by thousands thousands of tourists every year, and I've yet to hear that there have been any security issues with it. True, the ecm ordering page URL (below) is prefaced with http and not https that the main pages are.

But these two TA threads indicate that the security icon appears when getting to the point where you enter your CC info:

Additionally (last I knew, anyway) using Visa or Mastercard requires that those cards have a 2nd layer of added verification security. This is becoming more and more common for ticketing on European websites, and a helpful explanation for enacting those protocols (from someone ordering Vatican tickets earlier this week) is here:

If still unwilling or unable to acquire the type of tickets you want via website or phone, depending on what those are, you probably can't get those tickets anywhere else. For instance, to my knowledge the bargain-priced coopculture tours are not sold via 3rd-party websites. There are other tours which are available through those sites but you'll generally be paying quite a lot more for them.

(edited to add TA links)

Just as an added precaution, I have used a prepaid debit/credit card for years when shopping online. Stick a modest sum onto the card and even if the website is "iffy" you will only be out that amount. As stated, though, credit cards insulate you from fraud.
