My husband and I will be looking for a 2 night stay May 4 & 5 in Como. We will be arriving by train and have to be in Varenna on May 6th

Como is only a hydrofoil ride away from Varenna. Consider staying the whole time in Varenna.
We have stayed in Varenna a few times and visited all around the lake by ferry. It's just a thought to keep from packing and moving when you are only minutes away....

We stayed at Albergo Milano with a view of the lake, but that probably books up rather quickly - but worth a shot. The best thing about it is the view. Definitely try to make reservations at their lakeside restaurant - La Vista. The food was fabulous!
