I bought an LG phone in Paris, the guy at the store said it was unlocked and said it would work in Italy after getting a SIM card, i got to Italy and no such luck. I was wondering if there was anyway to unlock it now or did i get screwed out of money

I was just looking up unlock codes for LG phones and what I am seeing is that there is special softwear for unlocking LG phones. It looks like there is more to it than putting in a code. I would say, go to a cellphone place in Italy and see if they can unlock it. Here in the states it cost about $25 to unlock a cell.
On some of the websites it says if you have the "cruiser cable" they will email the information and driver so you can unlock it. If you can do this or not depends on the LG phone you have.

Lindsey, If you do a Google search using "Unlock LG Phones", you'll get lots of results including You Tube videos. You might also check local Cell phone shops in your area, as some may offer unlocking services for a few bucks. Depending on the cost to unlock your present phone, you could also consider buying another unlocked phone off E-Bay. There are LOTS of different models available. Good luck!
