I have bought a couple Universal to Italian Travel power plug adapters... one will be used for laptop... would I need a converter?

Not if the input to your computer reads, 120-240v, which it should, you will be fine.

As Frank mentioned, you'll need to check the Input Voltage specifications on your Charger. You won't need a Voltage Converter unless the spec's indicate "115 VAC, 60 Hz".
