Hi: I had just replied to a recent post that we were happy with our $850 nonstop tickets from Washington Dulles to Rome. Those tickets have now dropped to $690, and other European fares have also dropped. We can't recoup any of the "loss" because United's change fee is now $250, but we're hoping that some of you can benefit from these low fares.
When is your flight? I ask because flights to Italy in May don't seem any cheaper.
Hi: We're departing on march 15 and returning on April 4. I believe that the United sale - which ends tomorrow, 11/3 - is for flights through the end of March, but the sale fare appears to include our return on April 4. Good luck.
That explains it. Lots of the airlines have been running occasional discounts for flights pre March 31 or April 30. Thanks for letting people know. Too bad it won't help us. :-)
Yep...the best I've seen this week was $604 ORD to MAD on US Airways. There are lots of fares available now for <$700 around spring break time.
We are still watching flights for June. Like you Michael, I have also seen the flights only for Feb and some March. Keep watching! Thanks for the post.
Take a look at Icelandair. They fly from Logan, connect through Reykjavik, and can sometimes be up to $100 less than comparable fares on other airlines (but not always). Great airline!
Sandy, thanks for the info. Continental also has a sale going on until midnight tonight. LAX to Frankfurt is $660 RT. Just got home last week, or else I would book it. After five weeks, don't think my husband is ready to go back for a long time.
