Hi
I am looking for advice/recommendations on a unique dining experience in Positano, Ravello or Sorrento. I am going with my husband and another couple in late October and looking for a small group, wine/food pairing, something out of the ordinary and a possible highlight of the trip.
Any ideas?
I have a recommendation, but it isn't what I would consider unique. We were traveling with another couple in late October last year, and we were on a cruise that stopped in Naples. After researching, I decided Ravello would be the best destination. We hired a driver and drove to a limoncello place, a ceramics place, Positano for views and pictures, then Ravello for lunch. We found a rooftop restaurant at the Hotel Rufulo, with spectacular views and superb service and delicious food and wine. A hightlight of our trip for sure!!!!! The only reason we didn't linger longer there was because we had time to make time to go to Pompeii on the way back to Naples. I'm here to tell you Pompeii in 1.5 hours is possible.
One place I would avoid is the touristy IL RITROVO above Positano in Montepertuso.
Imagine how good a restaurant is if they offer to collect you, for free, from your Positano hotel.
Many people love this place..this is only my opinion.
Well, it’s been like 8 years and it currently has a 4.3 rating on Google, but the lunch I had at Ristorante Salvatore was one for the books. Artfully presented and delicious food with some unique flavors, and the view is off the charts overlooking the coast towards Māori. It’s in Ravello, just outside the tunnel leading down from town.
