Not sure what to pack for first 10 days of April. We are traveling with carry on suitcases.
Weather upto now 60’s and maybe rain.
We have traveled to Umbria in April and found the days warm but the evenings cool. We use carry on luggage too, so we pack lightly...2 or 3 pants and 2 or 3 tops, undergarments, socks, a jacket (not a raincoat) and umbrella, if needed, were all we found necessary. Umbria is beautiful. Enjoy your trip.
Yep, correct. Pack layers, and make one of them a light, rain jacket. I use a Nike dry fit and I use it for any weather than is windy, cold, and wet. I layer with shirts and sweaters. Enjoy Umbria, it is a great place and April will be enjoyable regardless of the weather. I never worry about weather, I just go prepared. Turns out weather if frequently one of the things we remember about our trips, in a good way (a good memory anyway, even though at the time it might not have been totally enjoyable).
If you're in a hill town it might be windy-rain jacket & layers will help! Depending on your personal tolerance of cold, you might want to pack a pair of gloves. Enjoy your trip-Umbria is beautiful in spring!
Thank you for your advice for packing light, we have been to Italy many times and April can be very erratic.
