I am trying to decide between the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet guide to Umbria and Tuscany. I have Rick's book but I need more detailed information about Umbria. Does anyone have any recent experience with the Lonely Planet or the Rough Guides?

I've never used Rough Guides, but I find that Lonely Planet is a good book to use with Rick's books, and I like Let's Go too.

Kay, I swear by the Cadogan guides. They have lots of detailed information about places that are often skipped over by others. I believe they even have one that includes both Tuscany and Umbria. We've also been very pleased with their lodging and restaurant recommendations.
