I'm having trouble with the official website trying to order Uffizi tickets. How far out online can I order tickets vs. phone calling and do I get through the lines faster with tickets ordered online or by phone calling?
Our hotel was willing and able to make the reservations for us. Might try that for a third option.
The number of tickets available online is quite limited. If you call by phone you get more options for times and days. It's an easy and quick call, they have English speaking operators and everything was done in 2 minutes. And you don't pay until you actually get there to pick up the tickets. We rented an appartment so I had to make the call myself and did it first thing in the morning - my time.
Phone call - more times available and you don't pay until you pick up the tickets. Plans can change and the tickets are not refundable.
If you are staying at a hotel, have them make the reservation for you.
I have always used this site:
