When I was booking a time slot at the Uffizi Museum I noticed that it was a 15 min increment. Does this mean that I only have 15 min inside the museum? Thanks for the help.
No.
They let in groups of people in staggered increments. Once you are in, you will have plenty of time to wander around. Like all great art museums, there are some "greatest hits" that tend to attract the tour groups. I found that there is a window where one tour group is leaving that you can get an intimate look at these works[INVALID] especially the Botticelli's. There are also many stunningly great works that are largely ignored by the casual visitor.
Once you're in, you can linger. I've visited 4 times and have never seen anyone asked to leave for staying too long.
But don't even try to go 'backwards' to a previously-seen room (as in , go back to get a spouse or child or take them back to show them something)...that's apparently the only way to get a rise out of those 'room sitters' LOL!.........You've Been Warned ;-).........And be there even earlier than your time slot - you'll get in a line to pick-up your tickets, and that line can be slooow-moooving. At least you'll be at the head of THAT line!
Well, I booked my time slot online this mornning and just pray that everything is correct. I could barely understand the lady I talked to. Thank you all so much for the info.
