Uffizi / Duomo ticket options: I are confused!

Hey Kids!

Due to the fact I've been told I won't be allowed to sit around drinking wine all morning, I've decided to expose myself to the arts via edifying trips to the Uffizi and Duomo (on different days, which seriously cuts into the drinking time). To this end, I have been assigned the task of purchasing tickets to the aforementioned attractions.

Easy-peasy, squeezy-cheezy, right?

It turn out there's options. Cruel, horrible, completely unexplained options. Can one of you kind folks explain the difference between these here tickets?

  1. Full Price Named: this is 30 euros. For 30 euros, I expect to be borne through the museum on a sedan chair.
  2. Reduced Named: hey 7 euros! Getting warmer.
  3. Free Named: 4 euros. That's not what "Free" means!

So here I sit, kept company only by a bottle of Pondera 2021 Rose', and wonder why Google and a search of forum posts have failed me. But I know YOU won't! YOU have all the answers, and are willing to share. To you I lift a glass in appreciation -- and no, you can't have any!

Mucho thankos,

You can look at this website that explains the ticket types.

https://www.uffizi.it/en/the-uffizi#timetable-prices

Full Price = 26 euro plus 4 euro reservation (most of us)
Reduced Price = 3 euro plus 4 euro reservation (For Europeans between the ages of 18 and 25)

Mike, for the duomo and its related bits, you have 3 ticket options:

https://duomo.firenze.it/en/access-the-monuments

You only want the Brunelleschi Pass if you want to climb the basilica's dome; requires a timed-entry reservation chosen at time of purchase.

You only want the Giotto Pass if you want to climb the bell tower; also requires a timed-entry reservation chose at time of purchase.

If not at all interested in destroying your knees, go for the Ghiberti Pass. It covers entry to the baptistry, museum and Santa Reparata (a level below the current basilica) but no dome or bell tower. You can access the main body of the duomo from Santa Reparata. Otherwise, that main body is free and usually involves standing in a biggish line. Oh, and the baptistry, museum and Santa Reparata are included in the other two passes as well.
