Uffizi and Accademia reservations

Hi all.
I am trying to book tickets to these two places. I am using Rick's advice to keep trying. But it's frustrating! Is there a better or worse time to call? I'm in Alaska, 10 hours behind Florence time, so can call late at night here when the ticket office first opens(starting at 10:30 -- it's late for me!) or again in the morning before 8:30 my time, just before the ticket office closes.

I'll keep trying, but any tips you can send my way would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Susan. I took Rick's advice and asked the hotel to make theses reservations. It was easily done in 1 email back and forth. I had earlier emailed the Uffizi myself, and just this morning received this response:
In order to reserve you should call our call center (+39-055294883) from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 18.30 and on Saturday from 8.30 to 12.30 or contact our web-site www.firenzemusei.it

Best regards

Susan, are you staying at a hotel in Florence? If so email them and they will make the reservations for you, almost always for no additional cost.

Thank you for the replies -- because of them, I realized that there is a typo in the 2008 Rick Steves book, and I had been calling the wrong number. Argh!

I do have a hotel in Florence, but it is a small guesthouse and I do not know if they make reservations to the museums for their guests. I'll try that route if the CORRECT phone number doesn't work!

Leslie, thank you.

I just saw your post and went to that website, and now I have tickets!
