Good Morning,
I called the number listed in the Helpline for Uffizi and Academia reservations. They gave me confirmation numbers and times for entry into each. I expected to pay but she didn't ask for any credit card or anything. How does this work? Where do I go for the tickets? I was hoping to side step the long lines to buy tickets; is there a reservations window different than the buy tickets window? Thanks for you help! We'll be in Italy in a week! Michael & Sherry

Yes, the ticket office is actually across from the entrance to Academia. It is obvious. Then take the ticket to the timed entrance. There will still be a short line as the other people with that time will be lining up.

You do not have to worry about lines at the Uffizi other than some backup going through security.

Go to www.tripadvisor.com, Florence forum. Along the right side of the page under frequently asked questions is "Museum Tickets". Click on that and then click on "Avoid the Lines". It will give specific details on where and when to collect your tickets for both museums and that you must pay in cash. Take a look. We are doing the same thing in about a week.
