A close mate took a short-term position at the Law School within the University of Udine after we had completed our master's and invited me over.
I like the city, particularly the juxtaposed/melded influences from the long-time rule of the Venetian empire and the Baroque of the Austro-Hungarian empire.
If you go and find you like it, please be keep relatively quiet about it. Would hate to see it overrun by box tickers.
Regards Ron
Many thanks Tassie..it sounds like a bit of a gem..yes..will report!
We stayed in Udine for 3 nights several years ago. It was very easy to walk around and was very charming.
FYI: Most shops are closed for about 3 hours at lunchtime.
Thank you Becky and Susan..sounds eSy and low key.
