Uber, Lyft, etc in Tuscany

I would like to use Uber, Lyft, etc in Tuscany late September early October.
My main question is how easy or difficult a time have people had getting a ride, perhaps a hour
long ride, late in the evening for example from Siena after dinner? Or perhaps from Lucca?
Thank you.

Uber or Lyft to where?

Within towns like Sienna or Lucca you do not need transportation. You can just walk everywhere. Anyway, you are probably best off just asking wherever you are dining to just call a taxi for you. Uber has not yet managed to corrupt every corner of the globe...

No Lyft in Italy and Uber there is more like a limo service in the larger cities

An hour ride? Are you talking about Siena or Lucca to someplace like Florence? Something like this would need to be train or bus unless you could convince a taxi driver to take a very long and very expensive cab ride for that distance. The other possibility is an NCC - point to point - driver that fills this kind of need although they are usually booked in advance. So if you have a special dinner planned you can certainly arrange something like this and just plan for it.

Uber exists as kind of limo company in Italy but that is all. There is no door to door service in Italy. Some cities have limited rideshare systems - Bolt I think is one - but there are limited in range and service to specific cities.

Last time I checked trains and bus service Siena to Florence did end sort of early 21:30 or so but train service from Lucca to Florence runs until 22:31 and will cost you 8.30e. This versus a taxi >150e for a taxi seems pretty straightforward.

If you are trying to arrange a ride from a random place in the country not served by train, like an agriturismo, to a nearby city via some kind of rideshare you are going to need a different plan.

Have a great trip,
