Tyrolean Dinner on 17 Day Best of Italy tour

Looking forward to visiting the Dolomites and note that there is a Tyrolean dinner on the itinerary. If you have gone on this tour please let me know if you were in Kastelruth or Bolzano and the restaurant. Getting hungry just thinking about it. Than you.

We stayed in Castelrotto and went to the Rauchhutte for a group dinner. Just to be honest after 12 tours, group dinners are not my favorite part of the tours. It takes a lot of work to feed 24-28 people all at the same time with not the best results always happening….although it is a great time to get to know your fellow tour mates. If you’re a foodie, I would look at your open nights and plan ahead as there are some wonderful places to eat in Italy.

In October 2022 on this tour we stayed at the Hotel Cavallino d'Oro in Castelrotto and ate at Restaurant Saalstuben. I'm vegan so my take on food is different from others.

I'll add that it probably depends on the time of year, day of the week, guide and location of your hotel as to where you will eat.

BTW, the hiking day at Seiser Alm blew me away....so gorgeous! I also loved the museum in Bolzano as the driving force for me doing this tour was to see Ötzi the Iceman. So interesting!
