Two weeks in Tuscany

My husband and I will be flying into Florence in October for two weeks. We plan on renting a car and exploring Tuscany. Plan on going to Siena, Chianti, Montepulciano, Val d’Orcia, Pienza and maybe a few more places. We have been to Florence before so we will not be spending more than a day.
Looking for recommendations of two areas to stay for one week each as a home base. Also specific places would also be appreciated. Our budget is up to $300/ night.
A place that has parking would be great! Thank you!

What I always find helpful is making a list of a few places I am interested in and then pinpointing the location that limits the driving--it's a good way to narrow down a bit what is a really wide open question. I always first tackle the first/last night conundrum, knowing we won't want to drive more than a short distance to our first stop, if at all (likewise, we don't want to be hours away form the airport on the last day). That might mean a night in Florence at either end, maybe not. You could easily arrange a transfer to Siena on arrival, then pick up the car when you have exhausted the in-town attractions.
I also use Booking.com to sort out locations and features like parking, as whether I book via the site or not it is convenient to do all of the searches in one place.
