Two weeks in Montepulciano and one in Spello, or vice versa?

Hi, all --

We're trying to decide between spending two weeks in Montepuliciano and one week in Spello, or vice versa. Our plan is to have a car and do a lot of day trips. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
