We just returned from a two week trip to Italy with Grandpa and Grandma (Ages 72), Mom and Dad age 50 and three teen grandchildren ages 17,15, and 13. Via train, boats, and planes. Thanks to RS it was done comfortably, and reasonably economically. We saw, Sorrento, Pompeii, Mt Vesuvius, Capri, Naples, Roma, Pisa, Lucca, Venice, Verona, and Milan. (Naples, Verona, and Milan were “Rick Stops”.
We had 3 nights in Sorrento, 4 in Rome, 3 in Lucca, 3 in Venice, and 1 in Milan. Traveled by train. Used 3 Walk of Italy Tours in Rome, A tour of Pompeii and Vesuvio. Worth every penny. Anyone wants the detailed itinerary let me know.

Do you have the patience and ambition to write a Trip Report? Some of us have done them and they're well received. My wife and I spent 11 days in Sorrento in April and love to read other people's version of visiting the same sites.
