Two week Italian Language school recommendation

My travel partner and I are looking for a 2 week Italian Language school to attend in the spring. We would like to be in a small size city, with a population between 20,000-50,000. I am looking for any recommendations from past experiences. Thank you

This may not be of interest because Montepulciano is a much smaller city than you mentioned, but I went to Il Sasso (https://www.ilsasso.com/en/index.html) earlier this year and am planning on going back again spring 2023. The small class sizes were really key and everyone was so friendly. I traveled solo but had a great week meeting new people and still keep in touch with some. They have a lot of flexibility about how you want your experience to look - I did a group course plus 1 private lesson a day, plus they had field trips several times through the week.

A friend of mine did a program in Tropea with Piccola Università this year and thought it was very worthwhile. They also offer the program out of Trieste if that is more appealing to you.

This one is in a very cute small town near me, and gets good reviews. The town is much smaller than you requested, and I don't know anyone personally who has attended it. Nuova Arcadia

I have done a few weeks in homestay one-on-one language programs which I really enjoyed, but it's not for everyone as it can be pretty intense learning and less hanging out.

And of course, there are the two fully accredited language universities, that offer recognized language tests for immigration and work, in Siena and Perugia. A friend went all the way through level C2 with the Perugia program but felt its quality was declining as she progressed and urged me to go to Siena instead. I can't speak to her concerns.

I don’t know about the language school, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in Casalbordino, Abruzzo, for two weeks. Small population wise, but the Abruzzo is wonderful. We just spent 9 days there and loved it!
