Two nights in Naples

I'm interested in touring catacombs in and around Naples. Any recommendations beyond St. Gennaro, St. Gaudioso and Fontanelle Cemetery? What other off the beaten track sites in Naples should one look for? Lastly, is the neighborhood around the Fontanelle, Sanita, really as bad as it's reputation? It looks fun on google street view...

Naples is my favorite city in Europe, but yes, the area around Sanita deserves its reputation. A great off the beaten track site are the volcanic regions west of Naples called the Campi Flegrei. Very historic, and deserted when I visited. There is a commuter train called the Circumflegreana (or something like that) that goes out there for dirt cheap.
