Two Days to Book Between Florence and Lake Como ~ We Would Appreciate Your Recommendations

This fall we will be concluding our Rick Steves tour in Florence and have two days to plan prior to our days at Lake Como. We'd like to find a charming town/area between Florence and Lake Como to stay for two nights. By that point in our tour of Italy, we would likely want to relax and enjoy some local cuisine/wine. We especially enjoy the beauty of landscapes and architectural design. Where have you been that you'd recommend? Recommendations on specific hotels or B and Bs would be especially helpful. Thank you!
