Do you have any information on these two cottages? I have made an inquiry and am having difficulty locating them on the map.

Since the two cottages appear to just be VRBO rentals, I can't give you an exact location. The VRBO entry says it is 10 minutes (I'm assuming by car) away from the train station. If you look at the map on VRBO, it is south of the city in the countryside. If you want a cute little cottage in the countryside, this may be a good place for you, but if you'd like to use Arezzo as a base to travel to Florence and Siena by train and bus, I would advise staying in the city. There are some cheaper hotels like Hotel Cecco, or more expensive ones like the Continental, which are all well-located. Easy walks to the train station, and Arezzo is a small city accessible by foot (the Duomo, Piazza Grande, the ampitheatre ruins). If you do stay in the city, I would not drive your car inside the city. There are a lot of ZTLs (Limited Traffic Zones) which you can get fined if you drive through, and can be tricky for those who don't know what to look for.
