I think you'll need two nights. Stop in Padova for a half day, then train to Arezzo for one night (2+ hours by train), then to Assisi (about the same travel time) for the second night.

I would choose Assisi over Arezzo and spend two nights there, but Arezzo is an interesting place.

Trains from Padova to Assisi take 5 hours with a connection at Florence and depart at 15:53, 17:53, or 18:53 latest on my test date. I have not visited Arezzo, so I can't comment on what to see there, but train time from Padova is only 3 hours.

Padua is an easy 1/2 day trip from Venice (or Mestre). Arezzo is a quaint city which can be easily visited in 1/2 day also. It's a quick train trip from Florence, therefore I would stay overnight in Florence and visit Arezzo from Florence, especially because you probably need to be in Florence the night before flying to AMS. Assisi is a bit further down. How many nights do you have in total?

Hi guys, thank you for your advices.
I am kinda in doubt where to stay for a night. After visiting Padua, should i stay in Florence and going to Arezzo in the morning, or I should stay in Arezzo instead.

Thanks!
