Tuscany with TEENS! Need a place to stay that satisfies weary parents:)

Traveling with three boys in the summer. Heading to Tuscany and plan on renting a car. Would like to be in the chianti region as I have read it's a good choice. I'm open to suggestions for Rural "agrituristico" or a B and B that would offer breakfast option and ideally a pool so they can cool off and burn off some steam.

As for a home base, I'm flexible as long as it's not to far south...would not like to drive more than an hour between towns.

Can anyone suggest a rural beautiful local where mom and dad can exhale with a glass of chianti and a good view? help

Look in Panzano, between Florence and Siena on historic Route 222. There are many afeiturismos there, BnBs. We rented a villa for a large group but noticed many of these properties. Wonderful town and arwa. Central.

Many agriturismos are on Booking.com. Virtually every small farm in Tuscany has rooms and apartments for rent for secondary income. I'm talking hundreds and hundreds of places.
I also like the area West of Poggibonsi between San Gimignano and Certaldo.
You can also go to Google Maps online for a certain area/town. Magnify the map 3-4 clicks and bed icons pop up indicating room accommodations. Click on the icon and more info will pop up.

Ah, Panzano! Yes it is beatiful. It was years ago that I was there, so I'm unfamiliar with the lodging options and swimming pool availability, but I should think you'd enjoy it greatly.

We stayed at IL Rosolaccio which is just outside of San Gimignano. We were here with our 2 sons, who were elem and middle school age. Had apt. Ginestra which was 2 bedrooms/1 bathrooms and it was very nice. Had a lovely pool too. www.rosolaccio.com

I stayed at this restored farmhouse years ago when my kids were young (5, 8 and 13 and 18). The owners are lovely people. It is in a little town called Bucine, near San Giovanni Valdarno and Arezzo. Very easy to find. You would need a car. Has a pool.

hi sarah
what's your dates and ages of boys? you can check booking.com and put in your filters. will you have a car or are you traveling by train? Look at apartments with numbers of bedrooms and beds offered. what part of tuscany do you want to stay in? It is high season when you are going. Ask your boys and get them involved with what they want to do. Happy travels

Check this too. Pool, bikes ping pong plus other games. Great hosts nothing more than an hour away.
Read their PDF.

They do accept rentals less than a week if they're not fully booked.

www.agriturismo.it
(also .com or .net)
When you find something you like, Plot it on google maps, and calculate driving times to where you intend to visit. Some are in the boonies and hard to drive too.
There are over 4,000 agriturismi in Tuscany alone, so the choice is yours.
