Tuscany Winery, Estate , or Villa Day Trip

Hello,
I will be traveling for the first time to Tuscany in August, and overwhelmed with all the day trip excursions offered online. I would like to be picked up from my hotel in Florence and taken to a town such as Montepulciano, Gimiginano or the Chiante Countryside or anywhere that has spectacular views and most important to have lunch outside overlooking the views. This can be at a winery, estate, castle, or villa. That's the challenge most tours are at a restaurant for lunch. I also prefer half a day, and if impossible I will consider a full day. It doesn't have to be only vineyards , and it can be other culinary tours.
Thank you!

Tia,

I chose to do a full day wine tour from Florence in October. The tour I found fit our needs, which are a little different than yours, so I went ahead and booked it... However, while doing my research, I really didn't come across any pre-organized tours matching your description.

Why don't you pick out the town that interests you and travel there via the train or bus? The Rick Steve's web site has all the information you need to plan and execute this type of self-guided day tour.

The other option is to hire a private guide for the day. You might find this to be cost prohibitive bur, then again, you might not.
