tuscany wine/vineyard tours

I booked a tour in 2005 through Weekend a Firenze and enjoyed it very much. It included a trip to a winery and a visit to Greve. http://en.firenze.waf.it/tour/244-countryside-tours.html

After researching this same topic, I have settled on the "Best of Tuscany" full day tour. It is part wine tour, part hilltown tour and it is all day. I haven't done it yet. We won't be going for a few months, but I am throwing it out as an idea. I visited Baracchi Winery near Cortona, and it was a lovely tour and a lovely vineyard. If you are looking to go to multiple wineries, you would need to look for a tour system. (I have not participated in one of those, do not know what to recommend, sorry)

We took a private tour by www.tuscanyinmypocket.com and the four of us were very pleased. We visited two wineries, had a spectacular lunch, tasted olive oils, stopped at a small village and the American cemetery where many WWII soldiers were buried. A moving experience. We heard about Guido thru this helpline website and were so happy we spent the day with this very knowledgeable and personable Italian who spoke excellent English.
