Tuscany Wine Tours From Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Borgo alle Vigne in Selvatelle

We will be vacationing with another couple February 29 - March 7 and are staying at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Borgo alle Vigne in Selvatelle . Are there any wine tours that start from this location? It seems everything I find originates in Florence and we really don't want to drive in Florence. We are going to rent a car, but prefer not to drive when we visit the vineyards. Is a small group tour the way to go or is it better to hire a car and driver? We do need to keep our budget in mind.

Contact the Hilton and ask them!! I cannot guess what they offer and don't offer. Second, the local TI is always good for id local tours. Finally, to see and tour the better wineries you need a car. The better wineries require an advance reservation and a fee. Some will have associated restaurants and offer a multi-course lunch or dinner. Expensive but well worth the doing. We spent three days visiting two or three a day. Had a great time. Work off a list in Wine Spectator for the best wineries in the area.

We did something similar in Jan. we hired a driver for the day. He took us to 3 wineries of our choosing. We selected the wineries and he called them all and arranged the visit. It was fantastic and worked out for 4 cheaper than a tour

We use ChiantiProDriver and Francis. Cost was about 400 for the day. It was 100% worth it and I highly recommend Francis.

Reach out if you need to know more. I’m sure he will pick up from your location.

You may have found these already, but if you don’t want to drive, there are two wineries within walking distance. Podere La Chiesa is only a 5 minute walk and La Spinetta Casanova is about a 10-15 walk. Both have very high reviews. You will want to make reservations, though. We will be there at the end of April and plan to go to both.
