Tuscany Wine Tasting Tours

Can anyone recommend a company that does wine tasting tours in Tuscany departing from Florence? We won't have a car but would like to spend a day visiting vineyards and seeing the countryside.

We will be traveling to Italy next week and have booked a day tour to Tuscany from Florence with Accidental Tourist. They offer several different tours with wine tastings. Their website is: http://www.accidentaltourist.com/

I can't recommend them based on experience, since we haven't been yet. But several others have recommended them and been pleased. They do not require a payment until the end of the tour. And no payment is required if you are not satisfied. Hope this helps.

I have been on a tour with Accidental Tourist this past May. It was a great tour. On Week days, they take you on a tour of a working Chianti winery, which was very interesting. Later, we tasted wine (6 kinds) with Tuscan bread and olive oil. You can sign up for lunch, hiking, cooking class (those who choose to "lunch" eat the cooking classes' pasta). This is done at a near by house in the region. It was pouring rain that day so the hikers chose to "hang out" instead. At the very end, you settle up. I bought wine and olive oil. I will be returning in December for another wonderful experience.

We took a wine tasting trip with Rebecca from Tuscan Wine Tours in July and absolutely loved it. We were staying in Florence where the tour started from. Before going we weren't quite sure whether we wanted a private tour or if it would be fun to share with others. In the end we chose the latter, so the tour was joinable and we were a total of 5 people. The price was 100 Euro per person which I thought was a bargain as it included lunch and tastings in two really nice wineries.
Highly recommend! www.tuscan-wine-tours.com

We just returned from a trip to Florence and spent a day with the Accidental Tourist in Chianti on a wine tour and cooking class. It was a great day, very relaxed and the guide was outstanding. The wine tour was low key, the wine and olive oil tasting was great and the pasta making class was outstanding. The best part was a fantastic lunch in a very old farmhouse with a great Italian woman cooking for all of us. The cost for entire day was 85 Euro per person. As I look back on our trip, it was definitely one of our most special days. Check the website at www.accidentaltourist.com or email them at info@accidentaltourist.com.
